Racer Marina's layout divides into three main areas: the riverfront pontoon berths, the working boatyard, and the waterside dining pavilion. At the water's edge, concrete floating pontoons provide 80 wet berths capable of handling vessels up to 75 feet in length. These berths supply freshwater and power hookups, while the sheltered river basin acts as the departure point for local coastal charters. Notable among these is the traditional junk boat Siamtara, which sets out from the pontoons for day trips and sunset voyages toward Dolphin Bay, Koh Singhto, and the karst peaks of Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park.

Behind the berths lies the commercial boatyard, designed for haul-outs, storage, and refits. The yard features hardstand capacity for 200 boats, covered dry storage, and a dual-lane launch ramp. A 35-ton marine travel lift transfers both monohulls and multihulls between the river and the hardstand. Maintenance is supported by an on-site chandlery stocking replacement parts, safety gear, and specialised marine chemicals, alongside workshops staffed for engine servicing, hull painting, and custom stainless-steel and aluminium fabrication.

Non-boating visitors and crews gather at Café Racer, a relaxed restaurant and lounge positioned directly above the moorings. The open-air deck and indoor seating look across the pontoons toward the mangrove fringes of the Pran Buri River. The kitchen prepares espresso coffee, fruit smoothies, Thai classics, and casual Western lunches. Getting There and Logistics

Racer Marina is located at 5/2 Moo 1 in Pak Nam Pran, approximately 25 kilometres south of central Hua Hin and four kilometres north of the main Pak Nam Pran beach road. Across the river, the hillside Chao Mae Tubtim Thong Shrine provides a clear landmark on the opposite bank.

A taxi or Grab ride from central Hua Hin takes around 35 minutes and typically costs between 450 and 650 THB (£10 to £15) each way. Because return app rides can be sparse around the river mouth, arrange a return pickup with your driver or negotiate waiting time in advance. If you drive a scooter or rental car, travel south down Route 4 (Phetkasem Road), branch towards the coast on Rural Road 3168, and turn down the signed riverside approach road. Free parking is available directly outside the clubhouse.

The marina office and Café Racer are open daily from 08:00 to 17:30. Admission to the grounds is free, with charges applying for meals, drinks, slipway services, or chartered excursions.
